Tottenham Hotspur's European final hero Brennan Johnson finds himself in an uncertain future at the club due to increasing top-flight attention in the attacker.
It is understood that the club, while not actively seeking to part with the Welsh international, are receptive to letting Johnson leave in the event of a suitable bid.
The Eagles are reportedly the club most advanced in their pursuit for Johnson, but other teams are believed to be watching developments closely.
Johnson was Tottenham's top top-flight goalscorer last season with 11 strikes, and secured his place in Spurs folklore by scoring the decisive goal in their Europa League final triumph over United last season, ending the club's 17-year wait for a major honor.
However, the departure of the previous manager and arrival of Thomas Frank has meant Johnson occupying more of a reduced role this season.
The 24-year-old, has been granted only 6 Premier League starting appearances under Frank.
Consequently, a host of clubs have been alerted to his potential availability before the winter transfer window.
Given his reduced minutes and the looming possibility of a global tournament approaching with his national team, a move away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium may suit Johnson next month.
Johnson joined Spurs from Forest in a deal valued at £47.5m in the 2023 summer window and has scored twenty-seven goals in all competitions.
