The Monarch has filmed a personal message concerning his journey with cancer, which will be broadcast as part of this year's annual cancer awareness campaign, spearheaded by Cancer Research UK and Channel 4.
Official sources said the King would reflect on his "healing process" as a cancer patient, in a televised statement on this Friday at 20:00 GMT.
The address, taped inside a royal residence a fortnight ago, will stress the importance of routine screenings to help guarantee more people diagnose the condition at an initial point.
This constitutes a rare update on the wellbeing of the Sovereign, who has been in a course of therapy since revealing his diagnosis in February 2024. However, it is believed unlikely the King will specify his particular diagnosis.
The awareness initiative each year generates donations for clinical trials and treatment and encourages people to get check-ups to increase the chances of an timely detection.
The King's candid approach about his condition, and managing the disease, has been designed to increase understanding and to encourage more people to get screened - and this will be taken a step further with this unusual personal contribution.
Up until now the King's primary strategy to his cancer has been to continue his schedule, maintaining a busy schedule alongside his ongoing course of care, and he is understood not to have desired to be overshadowed by his illness.
This year has seen the Sovereign, undertaking several overseas trips, notably to Italy and Canada, and welcoming the biggest number of inward state visits to the UK for a generation, which included the German president last week.
The upcoming awareness show on the network, presented by presenters such as several TV personalities, will appeal to people not to be afraid of getting preventative tests.
Each presenter have been personally touched by cancer - McCall said recently she had undergone surgery for breast cancer, while Balding was overcame the illness more than 15 years ago. Host Adam Hills has previously spoken about his parent, who had a diagnosis and then later leukaemia.
The broadcast will appeal to the approximate millions of people in the UK who Cancer Research UK estimate are not up to date with national health programmes, with an digital tool to let people check if they are eligible for tests for breast, bowel and cervical cancer.
In an effort to clarify health tests and demonstrate the value of prompt detection there will be a real-time transmission from treatment centres at Addenbrooke's and Royal Papworth hospitals in Cambridge.
"The goal is to take the fear out of preventative tests and prove everyone that they are not alone in this," commented one of the hosts.
Currently in the UK, there are three publicly available checks - for specific cancers - offered to specific demographics.
A new lung cancer screening programme is also being gradually implemented for anyone at high risk of developing the disease, primarily aimed at people in a specific age bracket, who are smokers or were former smokers.
Individuals may discuss prostate screenings, but there is no national programme currently available.
The Stand Up to Cancer project, which has generated a significant sum over the past decade, is supporting 73 medical projects with 13,000 patients.
His Majesty, in a message for dignitaries at a event for support groups in the spring, had discussed understanding the "intimidating and at times scary experience" for those diagnosed and their families.
But he said his first-hand encounter of living with cancer had revealed that "the most difficult times of illness can be alleviated by the greatest compassion," as he thanked those who cared for individuals with the illness.
Official sources has not revealed the specific type of cancer the King has, or the medical care he has received. The King's cancer was detected following he had received a medical treatment.
