Devoted followers of the pop star are urging that a person who breached a barricade and touched the performer during the recent Wicked: For Good premiere be arrested or removed from Singapore.

A widely shared clip shows the individual from Australia bypassing camera operators and lunging at Grande while the actors made its way down a promenade flanked by onlookers.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo immediately wrested the stunned actress away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being removed of the gathering by event staff.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram recently that he was "free after being taken in", though official papers indicated that he was set to appear on the next day. It is unknown if he was faced legal action.

Pattern of Incidents

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Troll Most Hated", has crashed a concert or event. His Instagram profile includes videos of him disrupting other high-profile occasions, including jumping on stage at the artist's Sydney show in earlier this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers concert in the area last winter.

"There needs to be action applied against him as this is clearly a legal violation," commented an Instagram commenter, in a message to a video Mr Wen shared of his behavior.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" a different Instagram user remarked.

Fans Express Concern Over Grande's Past Trauma

Several fans blamed Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed dealing with PTSD after a devastating incident at the conclusion of her 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and harming many.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" commented a further response on Instagram.

Some attendees also faulted security officers at the premiere for not being vigilant enough; while different individuals called for digital services to ban Mr Wen's uploads.

Aftermath and Event Details

In videos circulating online, Grande seemed startled when she was touched by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen comforting her while Mr Wen was removed by security.

Grande has not commented on the situation, and the rest of the event carried on uninterrupted.

Hundreds of Singapore attendees had waited to greet the actors of Wicked

Numerous of supporters had gathered in a mass of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific debut in a Singapore mall, including a number who had waited for as long as many hours before it started.

The film, to be launched on 21 November, is the second of a dual interpretation of the popular theatrical show Wicked, which revolves around the surprising friendship between two contrasting characters.

The musical itself is a derivative of the classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the character Glinda Glinda, was adorned in a champagne pink glittering gown at the gathering while Erivo, who plays the villainous character, wore a black tube gown decorated with roses.

They were accompanied by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the most successful film of 2024 in the UK, and scored 10 Academy Award nods, securing two for excellent wardrobe and production design.
