Both young individuals who died in the weekend's tragic incident in Providence were being remembered Monday – amid a widespread hunt for their assailant carried on following the release by Rhode Island officials of the single suspect detained in connection in the case.

Remembering Ella Cook

The young woman Ella Cook, a sophomore from Alabama, was called “an incredible, grounded, faithful, bright light”, as stated by the Birmingham's Cathedral Church of the Advent, which paid tribute to her at a ceremony on Sunday.

Cook was the vice-presidency of Brown’s chapter of College Republicans of America, according to the organization. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt also shared condolences publicly, stating: “There are no words. Keeping in mind her loved ones and companions, particularly her mother and father.”

The Second Victim

The other person killed was MukhammadAziz Umurzokov from Uzbekistan, an Uzbek national in his freshman year at the Ivy League university, according to relatives.

The victim's identification was confirmed by the Uzbek Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
